Image Datacenter

Mechanical parts image datacenter navigation and administration

This program provides access to a large mechanical parts image datacenter.

It allows a multiple hierarchical view of the database structure so that the information can be located and accessed with ease.

The image viewing functionality was built with performance in mind, since the parts figures represent very high resolution scanned images. They can be viewed in thumbnails or full sized, zoomed and scrolled.

The image viewer also supports hyperlinks and annotations, that help the user navigate to relevant information. Another feature is printing of the images, which can be done in may ways, including printing blow-ups of image regions.

Security is enforced in the browser by using a fingerprint based security system. The configuration can be done by the administrator via the management console, which allows setting the system options, managing users and projects and setting access permissions. The users can be grouped into roles in order to simplify access right management.

Platform details
