Microsoft Outlook is a personal information manager tool, developed by Microsoft. Although it is most used as an email application, Outlook also provides features to manage contacts and organize tasks, keep notes and track actions in a journal.
Advantages
- The emails are available even without an internet connection
- It can manage multiple email accounts
- Interacts well with other Microsoft technologies, such as: Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory
- It has a lot of features like calendar, contacts, notes and tasks
Disadvantages
- It's not free like its other competitors
- It has some security problems due to the large number of users
- It uses Microsoft Word HTML rendering and some emails will be poorly displayed
